Sam Roberts II, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, Associate
Sam received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree with a second major in 20th century literature in 1998 and his Master of Architecture degree in May of 2001 — all from the University of Virginia. During the spring of 1998, Sam’s studio work on the Fifeville Community Design Workshop in Charlottesville, Va. involved collaboration with local community groups, the city council and local architects to develop a master plan and community redevelopment plan that led the City Planning Commission to rewrite the zoning ordinances for that area of the city.
Prior to joining CR Studio, Sam worked for William McDonough + Partners of Charlottesville, Va., where he focused on sustainability for various projects. As part of CR Studio, Sam has worked as project manager for a several Audi of America projects, encompassing a range of work including overseeing dealership design survey documentation to working on the development of brand experience locations — called “Audi Forums” — in New York City and Herndon, Va. Sam was also the project manager for the renovation of the 55,000 ft² sales and service facility along 12th Avenue for Audi Manhattan. The project included a full interior renovation of the showroom and new curtain wall / façade work.
Currently Sam is in the role of corporate design liaison – based in Herndon, Va. – for the Audi of America account.
