Laurie McKenzie

Originally from Norfolk, in the east of England, Laurie received her BSc in Architectural Studies from the Welsh School of Architecture, in Cardiff in 2011. Her two final year projects explored the theme of urban regeneration and social sustainability: Firstly in the more rural setting of the Brecon Beacons National Park, developing a food genetics research laboratory & educational centre. Then in the master planning of an abandoned section of Trieste’s industrial port reclaiming the waterfront as a new cultural destination, including the design of a contemporary arts gallery, regional depot for UNESCO and residential artists’ retreat. Prior to joining CR Studio in November Laurie spent the summer gaining experience with CAM Architects, in Norwich, back home in the UK.

Laurie is completing a year long internship at CR Studios as part of her Masters course at the WSA. She is involved with a wide range of the Audi projects at varying different stages, as well as contributing to several of the residential projects the office is currently working on.
