Daniel E. Sylvester

Born in Tucson and reared in the Sonoran Desert, Dan graduated in 2010 with a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin. As part of his training, among other endeavors, he traveled to Sweden with a small group of graduate students and Wilfried Wang to research and document the St. Petri church by Sigurd Lewerentz. The work resulted in O’Neil Ford Monograph, Vol 2: St. Petri (2009). Dan also designed and served as associate editor for the next two volumes in the O’Neil Ford Series: the monograph, Fassianos Building  and the duograph, Argentina (both 2010). He currently is writing and editing a monograph on the Berlin Philharmonie by Hans Scharoun for publication early next year.

Before joining CR Studio, Dan worked in the offices of Hoidn Wang Partner in Berlin, as well as Coop 15 in Seattle, and with architect Cisco Gomes and STG Architects, both in Austin. In addition to serving as project manager for the eastern region for Audi of America, Dan also performs management, design and construction administration duties for the Audi Manhattan Dealership on the Upper West Side and the Sands Point Residence on Long Island.
