FDNY Marine Company 01 Ribbon-Cutting
CR Studio is pleased to announce the official opening of the new FDNY facility on the Hudson River. With bag-pipe accompaniment and a fire-boat salute, the ribbon was cut signalling the commissioning of the new pier and fire-house.
Construction Kicks Off At Sands Point Residence
Construction begins this week on the Sands Point Residence on Long Island. The project involves the renovation of a modest single family home built in the early 1960's on a generous wooded site. view full article
Over the coming months, the external façade will be peeled back and replaced with a charred cedar rainscreen treated using a variation of the traditional Japanese Shou-sugi-ban burning method. Comprehensive renovations will be taking place on the building interior and in the surrounding landscape. The building is scheduled to be completed this December.
Pier 62 Carousel Building Awarded MetalMag Architectural Award
Our Pier 62 Carousel Building, which was recently completed as part of the Hudson River Park redevelopemt, was given an Honorable Mention in Metalmag's 2011 Architectural Awards for the Building Green category. view full article
